The Charlie Brown Heritage Foundation is a group of community members dedicated to providing educational and recreational resources for the West Columbia area as a way to preserve the legacy of Charlie Brown.  Charlie Brown was a freed slave who moved to Texas, after Emancipation, becoming Texas' first Black millionaire.
